What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with a highly creative team of CG artists, engineers, and technologists to push the boundaries of our production capabilities.
- Architect, prototype, and deliver robust systems, tools, and workflows that enhance productivity and unlock new creative possibilities.
- Build and maintain cross-DCC tools and scripts supporting Maya, Blender, Houdini, Nuke, Unreal Engine, and other applications.
- Develop and optimize USD-centric workflows, including automation, asset management, and render-farm integrations.
- Partner closely with IT and pipeline engineering teams to ensure stability, scalability, and performance across the studio’s infrastructure.
- Work directly with artists to understand real production needs and craft intuitive, efficient solutions that empower their workflows.
- Provide hands-on technical support, onboarding, and training for tools and systems you develop.
- Maintain detailed documentation, best practices, and standards across pipeline and visualization processes.
- Stay current with industry innovations to help guide long-term technology direction and pipeline evolution.
- Participate in an open, feedback-driven culture—communicating clearly, collaborating effectively, and helping drive team alignment.
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience as a Pipeline TD in Animation, VFX, real-time, or similar content-production environments.
- Expert-level Python skills and strong problem-solving/debugging abilities.
- Deep understanding of Universal Scene Description (USD) and modern scene-centric workflows.
- Demonstrated experience developing production tools for Maya, Houdini, Unreal Engine, Nuke, Blender, C4D, or similar DCCs.
- Familiarity with rendering technologies such as Arnold, V-Ray, RenderMan, or equivalent.
- Strong grasp of pipeline architecture, DCC integrations, and render-farm management.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary groups—including artists, designers, and engineers—to design end-to-end workflows.
- Hands-on experience with source control systems, build pipelines, and scene formats (USD, Alembic, fbx, etc.).
- Demonstrated interest in AI/ML technologies, and the ability to evaluate or develop AI-assisted tools that enhance production efficiency
- A proactive, resourceful mindset with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to balance priorities, manage time effectively, and work autonomously or as part of a team.
- Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential project information.
